Sports physical therapy, scored and staged

Six ways we work. Each one lists what gets measured, because a plan you cannot audit is just a schedule of exercises.

Athlete screening and baseline testing

A single session that turns “it feels weak” into numbers: force plate output, hop symmetry, range and the way each leg absorbs landing.

  • Both limbs tested, side-to-side gap reported
  • Written baseline you keep for future comparison
  • Useful before a season, after a scare, or before a big block
40 min · results the same visit

Post-operative rehabilitation

ACL and meniscus, shoulder labrum and cuff repairs, Achilles. We run your surgeon's protocol and add the loading detail it usually leaves out.

  • Phase gates agreed at the first visit
  • Progress note to your surgeon at each phase change
  • Home programme kept to what you will actually do
55 min · typically 1–2 visits per week

Manual therapy and dry needling

Hands-on work for joints and tendons that have stopped responding to rest, paired with the loading that keeps the relief.

  • Joint mobilisation and soft-tissue work
  • Dry needling where it earns its place
  • Always attached to a strength plan, never sold alone
45 min · hands-on plus loading

Return-to-play clearance testing

The last gate. We retest you against your own baseline and write a re-entry plan your coach can read in a minute.

  • Sport-specific battery, not a generic checklist
  • Pass, hold or partial clearance, in writing
  • Practice volume and minutes mapped for the first fortnight
45 min · written clearance

Running and gait analysis

Treadmill filming with slow-motion review for shin, knee and Achilles pain that only shows up after a certain mileage.

  • Cadence, contact time and loading rate reviewed with you
  • Two or three cues, not a rebuild of your stride
  • Mileage plan for the four weeks after the session
50 min · video you keep

Performance strength programming

For athletes who are out of rehab and want the gym work to match the sport, including in-season maintenance around a schedule.

  • Block written around your competition calendar
  • Coached in the room, then handed over to you
  • Retested every six weeks against the same measures

Practical questions

Before you book anything

Do I need a referral?

New York allows direct access to physical therapy, so most athletes can start without one. Some insurance plans still ask for it, and we will tell you which camp you are in at intake.

How many visits will this take?

We give a range after the screen, tied to phase gates rather than a fixed package. Post-operative work is longer than a stubborn tendon; both get a number you can plan around.

What does it cost?

Fees depend on the visit type and your coverage, so we quote them directly rather than posting a price list. Ask on the phone or in the intake form and you will get a straight answer before you arrive.

Next step

Pick the visit that matches your week

Not sure which of the six you need? Choose the athlete screen. It is the shortest route to a plan and everything else follows from the baseline.
